I have been a Trustee of AIN since its inception and remain committed to its vision and mission. I value practical, industry-led innovation and strongly believe in supporting emerging young talent to develop skills that respond directly to real organisational needs and deliver real-world outcomes in the Middle East.

Professionally, I lead a multidisciplinary Specialist Technology, Analytics, and Research team within a multinational engineering consulting firm in Canada, working across a wide range of engineering sectors. My specialist background is in advanced numerical modelling, with experience in wind and microclimate, civil hydraulics, and building physics.

Dr Ghadir Siyam

Dr Ghadir Siyam, BEng, PhD, CEng, MIMechE
Ghadir is a dedicated professional with a strong passion for innovation, education, and community development. With a PhD in Complex Product Development from Cambridge University and over 10 years of experience in the energy sector as an engineer and lead product owner, she combines technical expertise with a commitment to creating positive change.
Ghadir serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), contributing to research in complex decision-making and product design. She also mentors students through TMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) Mentorship Program, helping guide the next generation of STEM professionals.
Her work reflects a quiet dedication to fostering innovation, diversity, and leadership in a way that positively impacts individuals and communities alike.

Eng.Muna Zarour

Eng.Muna Zarour Chief Operating Officer of the Arab Innovation Network (AIN), a non-profit fostering innovation across the Arab world. An Industrial Engineer with over a decade of experience, she has led AIN’s strategic growth since 2011, including organizing the annual AINAC conference and managing the SEED scholarship program. In 2014, she represented AIN at Cambridge’s Enterprisers Programme. Previously, Muna spent six years leading youth and education initiatives at AlNayzak, where her team won first place in the STEP competition, earning a visit to NASA. Her work centers on youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development in fragile contexts.

Dr Mohammed Atari

Dr Mohammed Atari is a highly accomplished professional in biomedical engineering, mathematical modelling, and data science. He earned his BSc in biomedical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology and later achieved a first-class MSc in advanced biomedical engineering from the University of Warwick. Awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship, he completed his PhD in biomedical systems modelling in 2010, focusing on the kinetics and dynamics of the anti-cancer agent topotecan.
Dr Atari began his career at Cyprotex (now Evotec), where he progressed to Principal Mathematical Modeller, developing innovative machine learning (ML) models for drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and toxicity. His contributions were recognised with the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine’s Innovation Early Career Award in 2017. In 2021, he earned an MSc in statistics at Lancaster University, where he developed stochastic models to analyse COVID-19 transmission and vaccine impact.
Currently, Dr Atari is a Principal Non-Clinical PK/PD Scientist at UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company. With over 14 years of experience, he also delivers training courses in data science, machine learning, and statistics across various industries, including banking, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. A Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Scientist (CSci), Dr Atari is committed to empowering organisations through advanced analytics.
